	Ponmudi

		Ponmudi hill resort is cool and quiet. As the hills come awake you can begin a pleasurable exploration of the wooded paths. Trekking is a passion with visitors to Ponmudi. Ponmudi has other surprises too for you. Orchids, for instance, grow in abundance here. A charming deer park is only 3kms. from Ponmudi. Picnic hampers that the staff at the guest house would be happy to arrange, which you could take down the hill to a picturesque ruined dam site or golden valley which is another pretty scenic spot. Other attractions are Bird watching, Deer park and long, enjoyable walks.

	Wynad



		Wynad stands as one of the loveliest hill stations of Kerala. It is at a height of 700m to 2100 m above sea level.Wynad's climate and geography make it ideal for the cultivation of Coffee, Tea, Cardamom, Pepper and Rubber.


	Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary)

The sanctuary now renamed as Periyar Tiger Reserve has an area of 750 sq.kms that lies at an elevation of 900 to 1800 meters above sea level on the hills of westerm ghats. Thekkady is on the border of Tamil Nadu.ar is one of India's major sanctuaries, with elephants, monkeys, and wide boar in abundance,
as well as some other elusive but occasionally spotted species such as tigers.
The sanctuary offers a lovely and comfortable way to see the animals, via boat rides on the man-made lake, which the wildlife areas encircle.The greatest attractions are the herds of wild elephants that come down to the lake to frolic on the waters, along with their young ones. An exhilarating experience is an elephant ride through the dense jungle. The sanctuary is open throughout the year, but the best season is from September to May.
